LONDON (EPICSTORIAN) —Three teenage girls have been charged with manslaughter following the death of a 75-year-old man who was attacked late at night in North London.

Emergency services responded to a violent incident on Seven Sisters Road in Islington at around 11:35 p.m. GMT on Thursday.

The victim, identified as Fredi Rivero, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital. He died the following day.

The Metropolitan Police initially arrested the suspects—aged 14, 16, and 17—on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). Following Rivero’s death, charges were upgraded to manslaughter.

Detectives confirmed that the victim’s family is receiving support from specialist officers. A post-mortem examination will be conducted to establish the exact cause of death.

The three teenagers, who cannot be named due to their age, are scheduled to appear at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 3.
