Xi Jinping deepens China-Bolivia collaboration, aligning initiatives for mutual progress at G20 Summit in Rio

(EPICSTORIAN) – In a progressive effort towards bolstering international ties, Chinese President Xi Jinping has reaffirmed China’s commitment to aligning its Belt and Road Initiative with Bolivia’s 2025 Development Plan.

Speaking during a meeting with Bolivian President Luis Arce at the 19th G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Xi emphasized the fruitful outcomes of the partnership, describing it as a mutually beneficial endeavor that has brought tangible progress to both nations.

Highlighting the enduring camaraderie between China and Bolivia, Xi noted that both countries have maintained unwavering support for each other on matters of core national interest.

“China stands firmly with Bolivia in exploring a development path that aligns with its unique national conditions,” Xi stated, adding that the upcoming 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations presents a key opportunity to deepen trust and expand collaboration.

 

Xi called for enhanced cooperation across diverse sectors, including infrastructure, high-altitude agriculture, green development, and the digital economy.

Furthermore, he urged stronger multilateral engagement within frameworks like BRICS and the China-CELAC Forum, emphasizing unity among Global South nations.

President Arce, in turn, lauded China’s contributions to Bolivia’s economic resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic and its modernization achievements under Xi’s leadership.

“China’s development provides invaluable guidance for nations like Bolivia,” Arce remarked, expressing optimism about deepening ties and celebrating the diplomatic milestone in 2025.
