(EPICSTORIAN) – A woman has died after her car collided with a double-decker bus in East London. The crash happened early this morning on Lea Bridge Road in Hackney, near the junction of Clapton Road.

Bus Heavily Damaged in Impact After Crushing the Woman
A photo from the scene shows the 308 bus to Wanstead with its front bumper crushed and the right headlight torn off. The crash site remains cordoned off, blocking traffic in both directions.
Investigators are examining the wreckage to determine what led to the collision. No other injuries have been reported.
Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Authorities are asking anyone who saw the crash or captured it on dashcam to contact them. Officers hope additional footage will help piece together what happened in the moments leading up to the impact.
“We need witnesses to come forward,” a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said. “Anyone with footage or information should reach out to us.”
