

War with Hezbollah will result in absolute defeat for Israel, Israeli media


Israeli military’s continued attack on Lebanon will result in a full-blown war with Hezbollah and a defeat for Israel, Haaretz said.
The Israeli newspaper warned that Israel will be utterly defeated if it expands the war to Lebanon and carries out ground operations in the region.
With several claims of Lebanon’s support for Hamas’ attack on Issrael, Israeli Prime minister’s war cabinet has always appeared indifferent about supporting IDF to launch a large-scale military assault on Lebanon.
Political opponents of the prime minister said the condition of residents of the Palestine and Hezbollah-occupied areas have made such decision difficult for Netanyahu.
According to the Israeli media, Israel does not seek to occupy southern Lebanon up to the Litani River except that the reason for its military operations on the border being to assure the northern residents safety of occupation.

But limited military operations also come with consequences, which Haaretz said such can intensify war tensions in the region, resulting in retaliatory responses from the other parties involved.

The resistance force’s response to Israel’s military action can turn this small military maneuver into a full-blown war, and there is a possibility that Israel’s strategic infrastructures will be targeted by Hezbollah and even power outages, reported Islamic Republic News Agency.

Hezbollah has, most frequently since its launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm in the Gaza Strip, militarily struck the northern Gaza, a Palestinian-occupied territory, in Gaza people’s defense.
