Tragic: Nollywood actress, Stella Ikwuegbu, dead
Nigeria,June 16, (Epicstorian) – A Nollywood actress, Stella Ikwuegbu, famously known for interesting movie roles, has reportedly died.
Stanley Nwoko, a Nollywood movie producer, broke the news about the tragic passing of ms Stella Ikwuegbu on Sunday
He said the actress died from leg cancer, describing her death as a ‘painful incident’ that had taken her out of “this world”.
“Nollywood actress and veteran Mrs Stella Ikwuegbu is dead. The veteran actress left this world today after battling with leg cancer,” Nwoko wrote about ms Stella Ikwuegbu on his social media timeline.
“Rest well, Madam Stella. Nollywood again. It’s well,” he added.
Several movies the actress had starred in since the birth of her career in 1990 include “Ukwa”, “Holy Man,” “Madam Koikoi”, “Spoiler”, “Two Hearts,” “Heart of Stone,” “Sound of Love”, and others.
Ms Ikwuegbu, who was born in Enugu state, before going into the movie industry, had her higher education at the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu.
Being a hardworking entrepreneur, she also later in the bloom of her career launched a restaurant called ‘The Film Bar’.
Tragically, it’s just a few months after the deaths of many other popular Nollywood stars in the year of 2024, which includes the sudden passing of Mr Ibu , Junior Pop, and the recent Yoruba actor Dayo Adewunmi, aka Sule Suebebe.
