Abuja, Nigeria (EPICSTORIAN )— Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu received Colombian Vice President Francia Márquez at the Aso Villa in Abuja.
“No ocean is wide enough to divide us any longer,” Tinubu declared in his remarks.
Vice President Márquez described the visit as a symbolic return to what she called “the land of our ancestors.”
She added that Colombia’s historical ties with Africa remain a foundation for stronger diplomatic and cultural relations.
Nigeria Colombia Cooperation Expands in Abuja Talks
Tinubu praised Vice President Kashim Shettima and his team for laying the groundwork for the new cooperation agenda.
He confirmed that agreements reached would support business opportunities between Nigeria and Colombia.
The Nigerian leader explained that recent cooperation models with Brazil could be replicated with Colombia, especially in aviation.
“Particularly with Colombia, Nigeria’s recent agreement with Brazil can easily be replicated in aviation,” Tinubu said.
He stressed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would accelerate the process of deepening these relations.
The Nigerian president highlighted Colombia’s heritage and opportunity, paired with Nigeria’s youthful population and skills.
