



KWARA , EPICSTORIAN – The Kwara State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of individuals linked to the murder of Miss Awesu Mojisola, a 21-year-old student of Kwara State College of Health Technology.
Miss Mojisola’s body, according to the police, was found on a refuse dump near the Aleniboro area of Ilorin, Kwara State.
Her roommate, Miss Blessing, reported her missing on August 9, 2024.
Kwara Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, said Miss Timileyin had introduced Mojisola to Mr. Adebayo Happiness, a Summit University student.
Happiness allegedly lured Mojisola to a party under the guise of paying her N15,000 to act as his girlfriend.
On August 12, 2024, Mr. Olorunoje from Aleniboro reported finding the body of a woman, estimated to be around 25 years old, dumped near the refuse site. Following this report, investigators were dispatched to the scene where they discovered blood stains near the deceased’s left ear.
Mojisola was confirmed dead at a General Hospital in Ilorin
The body, later identified as Miss Awesu Mojisola, was taken to the General Hospital in Ilorin, where her death was confirmed.
In an issued statement, the Kwara State command police spokesperson said, “The Kwara State Police Command wishes to inform the public about an ongoing investigation into a case of culpable homicide reported on August 12, 2024, at approximately 7:30AM by Mr. Olorunoje of the Aleniboro area in Ilorin, Kwara State.
“According to Mr. Olorunoje, on August 11, 2024, at about 2000 hours, he was returning home from the mosque when a group of labourers approached him and informed him of a disturbing discovery.
“They had found the body of an unidentified female, approximately 25 years old, dumped on a refuse dump near Aleniboro area ilorin, Kwara State.”
Adeyemi further stated that officers were immediately sent to the crime scene as soon they got the report.
“In light of these developments, the Kwara State Police Command has arrested suspects in connection with the case. Investigation is ongoing, and the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further discreet investigation,” he added.
