The Nigeria President, Bola Tinubu, will depart Abuja on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, for Dakar, Senegal, to attend the Inaugural ceremony of the Senegal’s President-elect Bassirou Diomaye Faye.

As the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Tinubu will join other regional leaders to witness the Senegal’s president-elect Bassirou’s inauguration at the Diamniadio Exhibition Centre on Tuesday.
Senior government officials to accompany the President on the trip shall include the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, and others undeclared.
Nigerians expect the President’s return to Nigeria after the Inaugural ceremony of the Senegal’s president-elect Bassirou Diomaye Faye is concluded.
