President Federation Cup: Rivers Angels To clash with Delta Queens For Final win

Osun Babes lost in the last quarter-final of the President Federation Cup in Enugu on Wednesday to Rivers Angel, but analysis suggests the team appears optimistic for the upcoming challenges. 

Rivers Angel secured a chance in the semi-final to face Delta Queens after defeating Osun Babes with 5-0. 

Thanks to Naija Ratels 5-4 penalty shootout, which secured her victory the against the FC Robo Queens of Lagos to reach the semi finals, during the match at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.

Both teams, Naija Ratels and FC Robo Queens of Lagos, ended the regulation period equalizing at 1-1.

Delta Queens cut Sunshine Queens from Akure to size with a 2-0 defeat at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.

Remo Stars Ladies of Benin led the battle against Nasarawa Amazons with a 3-2 penalty shootout. Both teams, at their slow-moving competition pace since this year, played 1-1 draw within the allotted 90 minutes.

Also in the Benin city, the Delta Queens took on the Akure Sunshine Queens, defeating the team with a 2-0 goals at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

The the finalists for the men’s competition for the President Federation Cup will be known on Thursday, all games commencing at 4pm :

Abia Warriors to battle against the Kano Pillars at the Lafia City Stadium.

Kebbi United vs against El-Kanemi Warriors at the NFF/FIFA Goal Project in Abuja. Both games will commence at 4pm.

Rivers Angels and others For the women’s semi-finals:

Remo Stars Ladies (Ogun) shall go against the Abuja-bred Naija Ratels in the city of the Federal Capital Territory.

Delta Queens (Delta) will also take on  the Rivers Angels (Rivers) in the President Federation Cup games today.
