Peter Obi donates N60 million, fueling educational and healthcare advancements at UNINIGER and Iyienu Nursing School.

Nigeria (EPICSTORIAN) — Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi donated N60 million to support education and healthcare development at UNINIGER and Iyienu School of Nursing.

In a show of commitment to Nigeria’s educational and healthcare sectors, Obi at UNINIGER’s Iyi-Enu take-off campus, highlighted the critical importance of investing in education as a driver of national progress.

He also visited the School of Nursing at Iyienu Mission Hospital, Ogidi, providing an additional N10 million to aid in the training of healthcare professionals.

Emphasising the difference between expenditure and true investment, Obi explained, “The financial support we give to health, education, and poverty reduction initiatives is not an expense; it’s an investment in areas essential for development.”

The former governor of Anambra also praised the faculty, staff, and students of both institutions for their dedication, expressing confidence in a brighter future.

Obi’s Donations May Addresses Education and Health Crises of Those Institutions

Obi’s contributions to education and health institutions is in line with his ever preached commitment to addressing Nigeria’s most pressing challenges.

This desire to set a standard worthy of emulation was  seen in his congratulatory  letter to the U.S President-elect Donald Trump on November 6,2024.

Donating N50 million to UNINIGER and N10 million to a nursing school, Obi emphasized the significance of these sectors for national advancement.
