The Governor of Osun State , Ademola Adeleke has signed the sum of N273,908,997,410 billion budget for the State’s 2024 fiscal year into law. Ademola Adeleke Signs N273.9 billion
Mr. Adeleke, at the time he signed the appropriation bill, highlighted that the budget was a “Budget of Reconstruction and Recovery”, and that it was drafted and approved to accelerate the revival of the state economy in key sectors. (5)
The Governor assured the citizens of Osun State that, given his intention to “put the state on the path of sustainable development”, his administration is geared towards “rebuilding all the sectors” mentioned within the focus of the 2024 budget.
Adeleke also listed the key sectors as follows: “education, health, sports, roads, agriculture, creative industry, digital economy” as well “general infrastructure alongside women and youth focussed programmes and policies.”
“Our focus is to put the state on the path of sustainable development, hence we are rebuilding all the sectors namely education, health, sports, roads, agriculture, creative industry, digital economy, general infrastructure alongside women and youth focussed programmes and policies,” he explained.
Meanwhile, speaking on the judicious use of State 2024 budgeted funds, the Governor promised to ensure that there will be effective “implementation as stipulated to reconstruct the society and ensure recovery of critical sector.

“I commend the State Assembly for the prompt processing of the appropriation bill. I also laud my team for their cooperation with the various assembly committees in the budgetary process,” he appreciated the State House Assembly’s Members
