Anora reigns supreme at the 2025 Oscars as Hollywood’s finest celebrate a night of cinematic brilliance

LOS ANGELES (EPICSTORIAN) — The 96th Academy Awards celebrated cinema’s finest, with Anora emerging as the biggest winner of the night.

Directed by Sean Baker, the film secured multiple accolades, including Best Picture, Best Actress for Mikey Madison, and Best Director for Baker himself.

Adrien Brody’s portrayal in The Brutalist earned him Best Actor, while Zoe Saldaña (Emilia Pérez) and Kieran Culkin (A Real Pain) took home Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor, respectively.

Other major winners included Conclave, which secured Best Adapted Screenplay, and The Brutalist, which won Best Cinematography and Best Original Score. Meanwhile, Dune: Part Two swept the Best Visual Effects and Best Sound categories, solidifying its technical mastery.

The international film category saw Brazil’s I’m Still Here win Best International Feature, while Flow claimed Best Animated Feature. The night also spotlighted music, with El Mal from Emilia Pérez taking Best Original Song.
