

The details of the discussion on new green industrial partnership, with need to improve green technologies, were discussed at the Federal Executive Council meeting held Wednesday at the State House, FCT.


The Nigerian government on Wednesday received the Indian High Commissioner, H.E. Shri Balasubramanian in Abuja, to strike a new partnership on the promotion of green technologies across industries.
Balasubramanian, who visited in Abuja, according to the Presidential Envoy on Climate Action, arrived the country with the purpose to discuss new green industrial partnership opportunities and promotion of the use of green technologies for both India and Nigeria.
The new green industrial partnership details were discussed at the Federal Executive Council meeting held Wednesday at the State House, FCT.
The council deliberated on the best approaches to advancing wide adoption of green technologies, providing more sustainable and eco-compatible green industrial solutions.
“Wednesday brought good tidings and quality results to Nigeria’s green industrial drive as I welcomed the Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, H.E. Shri Balasubramanian to the State House,” the presidential envoy said.
Balasubramanian was allowed enough time “to detail new green industrial partnership opportunities”.
“The administration of H.E. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proved to be one of the world’s most committed governments on green industrial development,” he said.
“We have agreed on actionable next steps in this sphere at a time when the two most populous democracies in Asia and Africa have many shared aspirations for their economies in the present and the future.

“After the Federal Executive Council meeting, we were privileged to exchange views with the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, H.E. Abdullahi Sule, on the establishment of Africa’s first eco-industrial park, Evergreen City.”
How green technologies impact Nigerian Green industries
“In the company of the Managing Director of the Infrastructure Corporation of Nigeria (InfraCorp), Dr. Lazarus Angbazo, we recorded tremendous progress in our discussions, and a deliverable set of time-bound next steps were agreed to,” concluded the presidential envoy on climate Action.
