Police spokesperson Sewuese Anene told reporters that search operations were launched immediately after the ambush and continued through the weekend.
Anene said three officers were confirmed dead on Friday, while another eight bodies were recovered later, bringing the total to 11.
She stated that six suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack and are being interrogated by investigators.
The police described the attack as a calculated assault against security personnel deployed to stabilize unrest in Katsina-Ala.

Authorities said the suspects are believed to have direct links to the ambush, which took place during an operation in a rural community.
Anene explained that the investigation is ongoing, with efforts focused on identifying those who planned and carried out the assault.
