Putin’s New Decree Opens Doors to Escapees of Liberal Ideals opposed to Western Norms
Moscow, EPICSTORIAN – Russia has announced its offer of temporary residence to individuals seeking to escape Western liberal ideals and relocate to the country, where they believe traditional values are upheld.
A recent decree signed by President Vladimir Putin facilitates this process, where willing foreigners can apply for temporary residency in Russia without being subject to the usual quota limits or requirements to prove their proficiency in the Russian language, basic laws, or history.
Moscow’s New Policy is designed for those “disillusioned” with their home countries’ neoliberal policies, which are seen as conflicting with traditional Russian values.
The Russian government, according to TASS, will identify countries that impose these values and create a list of such nations. Starting in September, the Foreign Ministry will issue three-month visas to eligible applicants.

This initiative follows Putin’s endorsement of a proposal by Italian student Irene Cecchini, advocating for relaxed entry requirements for those who share traditional cultural and family values.
Applicants may include people who are opposed based on their countries’ liberal policies “aimed at imposing destructive neoliberal ideals on people, which run counter to traditional Russian spiritual and moral values.”
However, Putin has emphasized the need for a case-by-case assessment, which he, of course, must evaluate.
