UK, (EPICSTORIAN NEWS)- Oxford Crown Court’s verdict pronounced Marcus Gunn of Swerford, an emergency care assistant, guilty of sexual assault and assault by penetration on Friday.

The judgement passed by the jury on Marcus Gunn’s conviction of sexual assault, was concluded after a four-day trial.

Gunn’s action was deemed quite infra dig to his professional responsibility as a health worker entrusted with the duty of caring for patients.

According to UKNIP, the paramedic committed the assault in December 2022 while transporting a female patient in her fifties to the hospital in an ambulance.

Gunn, 58,  was Charged on May 3rd last year 2023, and had been condemned for his betrayal of trust by authorities.

Investigations  during trial revealed that the paramedic had sexually abused the patient in the back of the ambulance under the pretence of performing medical examinations, Oxfordshire reported.

The Banbury Police Station detective sergeant Victoria Griffiths, the investigator, said such reports of sexual crimes are received with the required attention.

Gunn’s response to prosecutors during trial:

When one of the prosecutors in his trial, Jonathan Stone, questioned the health worker what he would have done if the patient had complained being in pain.

He said: “Probably ask if I should pull over and get in the back and administer further pain relief.”

Officials said Gunn’s Sentencing is scheduled for September 9, 2024, at Oxford Crown Court.
