It has been three weeks since the inhuman killing of Dpo Angbashim, the Divisional police officer of Ahoada in Rivers state, by some suspected cultists, who captured and made him suffer hell to death by decapitation.
DPO Bako Angbashim’s killers’ tracks are yet uncovered, as the police force had barely found his body.
A Brief Flashback to the Account of the Gruesome incident that led to Dpo Angbashim’s Death:
Angbashim was on a discharge of duty with other officers of the Nigerian police force in a criminal raid on Odemude community in Ahoada West Loca government when they were ambushed by a deadly cult group.
Engaging in a short gun battle, while others officer fled, Angbashim was captured and brutally beheaded with the gruesome scene of his murder recorded by the attackers.
And trying to capture the perpetrators, and having not actually recovered the dead DPO’s full-length body, Emeka Nwonyi , serving under the state police command, has failed at else and has maintained faith to bring anyone linked to the menacing death of his superior to book.
“The police officers in effort to fight off and recover the body of the DPO killed four of Okpara’s men,” Nwonyi Emeka told the reporters.
Adepoju stated that the command was equally pained because according to him, late Angbashim was “one of our gallant and very efficient officers” who put in his all in fighting crime and criminality.
In a statement by Adepoju, Angbashim was,“one of our gallant and very efficient officers.“
“We will spare no one, I can assure you that. We will do the needful. Ekpeye Kingdom will be good again. We are doing all we can and I am sure we will succeed.”
However, the question this week to the Nigerian police force, on their platform X social media handle, by a concerned citizens read, “ Happy Friday!! It’s been over 3 weeks and the alleged killer of the DPO in River State has yet to be apprehended.”
“So basically @Princemoye1 lied when he said it takes 3 weeks to find anyone who has committed a crime in Nigeria.
In a bid to reawaken the interest of the Nigeria police force, to continue unrelenting investigation into the murderers of Angbashim, he also said, “Justice for the DPO!!”
