EPSN) —Responding earlier Tuesday to the drone strike that killed the deputy head of Hamas’s political division, Saleh al-Arouri and two commanders of its armed members, Hezbollah said the attack in Beirut will not go without response or punishment. Beirut attack

Israel has refused all allegations pointing to it, denying responsibility for the attack in Beirut, capital of Lebanon. (2)

But hearing from Ambassador Mark Regev, senior adviser to the Israeli Prime Minister, he said “Obviously in Lebanon, there are many Hezbollah targets, but whoever did this strike was very surgical and went for a Hamas target because Israel is at war.” Beirut attack

In a press closing statement Regev portrayed the attack in the image of targeted strike against Hamas top Military leaders.

“Whoever did this has a gripe with Hamas,” he added.

Hezbollah said the attack was “a serious assault on Lebanon” and “a dangerous development in the course of war between the enemy and the axis of the resistance” in a post on Telegram, reported BBC.

It “will not go without a response or punishment,” it adds. Beirut attack

The Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs spokesman,  Basser Kanaani called the killing of Saleh al-Arouri a motivation to fight against the Zionist occupiers.

“The martyr’s blood will undoubtedly ignite another surge in the veins of resistance and the motivation to fight against the Zionist occupiers not only in Palestine but also in the region and among all freedom seekers worldwide,” Nasser Kanaani said. Beirut attack

The director of research at the Arab Center Washington DC, Imad Harb said that the attack was the greatest “achievement” for the Israeli  soldiers and politicians since they have not been able to declare victory in Gaza since the Hamas attack on October 7.

“So far, the Israelis have not been able to call a victory in Gaza, so assassinating Hamas leaders is partly something that they wanted to do anyway,” he reported to Al Jazeera. “This is an achievement for the Israeli army and for the Israeli politicians.” Beirut attack

Also commenting on the death of Hamas deputy leader Saleh al-Arourio, the Palestinian prime minister , Mohammad Shtayyeh condemned the attack 

He said this was a “crime perpetrated by Known criminals” and would attract “risks and consequences”  anytime. 

In the earlier report on Tuesday Time of Israel, (TOI) Offered it view of the latest Israeli attack in capital city of Labanon, using recent event analogies to analyze Hezbollah’s involvement in military operations on the north of Israel since the war in Gaza.

“If Israel was behind the attack it could mark an escalation in the regional conflict.” it said. “Hezbollah has been carrying out attacks against Israel’s north since the war in Gaza began, citing support for Hamas, leading to limited but daily clashes along the border amid concerns of a larger war.” Beirut attack

However, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah had warned on August 23 that any death on Lebanese soil of an Iranian, Lebanese Styrian or Palestinian would have consequences.

“Any assassination on Lebanese soil against a Lebanese Syrian, Iranian, or Palestinian will be met with a decisive response. We will not tolerate this, and we will not allow Lebanon to become a new killing field for Israel,”‌‌ Nasrallah said.
