Iranian security forces claim capture of assailants behind October 26 border guard attack in Taftan County.

Iran's forces swiftly neutralize group responsible for deadly border guard attack, securing southeastern region.

Tehran (EPICSTORIAN) —The Iranian security forces said it dismantled Jaish al-Adl, the alleged terrorist group behind a deadly October border guard attack, securing the southeast.”

The incident, which occurred on October 26, as reported by MEHR, involved a group of armed assailants who ambushed police vehicles in the Gohar Kuh district of Taftan County, resulting in the deaths of ten Iranian guards.

According to Iranian police sources, the group responsible, identified as “Jaish al-Adl,” has now been effectively “destroyed.”

Iranian Security Forces Commander issued the statement

Iran’s Law Enforcement Command leader, General Radan, confirmed on Wednesday that all perpetrators have either been killed or captured through intensive intelligence operations.

“With the intelligence measures taken, all the elements involved in this terrorist incident were identified and we either killed them or arrested them,” General Radan stated.

This announcement follows the report last week of the death of the terrorist group’s ringleader, who was directly involved in directing the deadly attack on the convoy.

The swift response by Iran’s security forces highlights the forces commitment to secure its borders amidst ongoing threats in southeastern Iran.

Jaish al-Adl, known for past attacks in Iran’s southeast, claimed responsibility for the incident, which adds more trouble to the ongoing security challenges faced by the Iranian government in its border regions.
