

Justice of the federal high court in Ikoyi, Lagos state, Nicholas Oweibe has, on Friday, 5th October issued a production warrant against a famous Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley.

EFCC, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, prosecuted Naira Marley
on 11-count charges of conspiracy and credit card fraud.
During the Friday sitting, counsel Olalekan Ojo told the court that the defendant was unavailable for the proceeding as a result of his detention by the police for interrogative questionings in regards to his alleged murder of llerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, Mohbad.
However, the counsel, therefore engraved the indulgence of the court to an adjourn the trial.
In Response to the adjournment petition of counsel Ilerioluwal, Bilkisu Buhari, the prosecution counsel, sought the court’s permission to obtain a production warrant against the defendant in order to ensure he appears in the court for the next sitting.
Reacting to this request, Justice Oweibo granted the permission and issued a production warrant against the defendant, Naira Marley. And further adjourned the next court process to 30th October, 2023 for continuation.
