(EPICSTORIAN) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported conducting a precision airstrike earlier today on a vehicle carrying Hazmi Kadih, an individual they identified as a key figure in the October 7 attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz.
According to an official IDF statement, Kadih had been under surveillance for an extended period. Military intelligence reportedly tracked his movements and confirmed his location before executing the strike.
Hazmi Kadih is reportedly employed by WCK
The force revealed that Kadih is employed by World Central Kitchen (WCK), a humanitarian organization working in Gaza, which prompted Israel’s Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) to call for an urgent international investigation.
In previous reports the forces had urged WCK, including UNRWA, to investigate their employees due to concerns about individuals allegedly linked to terrorist activities working for aid organizations.
But the IDF in its latest Press release clarified that there is currently no evidence directly linking Kadih to any specific abduction attempts during the October 7 assault.
The Military emphasized the importance of relying on verified information from official sources to prevent the spread of misinformation that could cause unnecessary distress to affected families.
The Israel Security Agency (ISA) and the IDF reiterated their commitment to identifying and neutralizing those responsible for acts of terrorism against Israeli civilians, particularly those connected to the October 7 massacre.
