Hamas says the US ‘responsible for Israel’s fresh military attacks’ in Gaza’s al-Shifa Hospital
Tehran—The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has on Monday allegedly said the United States government is fully responsible for ‘Israel’s fresh military attacks in Gaza’s al-Shifa Hospital’.
A report by the IRNA News Agency said the claim was made in a released statement by a Hamas’ official, who blamed the US government for its support of the “Zionist regime” and its aggressive war against the Gaza Strip”.
According to the official’s statement, the United States was allegedly responsible for the new “crime committed by the Zionist forces” at al-Shifa Medical Complex.
It added that the brutal crime at al-Shifa Medical Complex confirms that the occupying regime continues its genocidal war against civilians and civilian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, the source claimed.
The source further stated that the extent of the war-triggered destruction in Gaza, which had begun since October 7 following the Hamas attack, “reaffirms once again the enemy’s aim to push people in Gaza to leave their land as part of its schemes to liquidate the Palestinian cause”.
While stating that the US is held fully responsible for the fresh military operations of the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) which it described as “crimes”, massacres, and systematic destruction of civilian life in Gaza”, the report further noted that Hamas has urged international bodies to condemn the “crime of the Zionist regime at al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip”.
The Israel-Hamas war erupted on October 7 following the invasion by the Palestinian resistance movements in the strip.
Meanwhile, many Gazans claimed the Hamas invasion of Israel was premeditated and carried out as “a retaliatory operation against the regime over its intensified violence against Palestinians”.
It said at least 32,782 Palestinians, “mostly women and children, have been killed by Israeli offensives in Gaza so far”.
