Kwara, Nigeria, EPICSTORIAN – The Nigeria Police have, in shocking turn of events, arrested and detained popular pastor Ogunse and his son, Promise Ogunse, in connection with the murder of a recent college female graduate in Kwara state.

The victim, a young woman whose identity was withheld, was reportedly invited by  promise from Offa to a hotel in Ilorin last week before she met her doom.

According to SaharaReporter,  Promise Ogunse, the son of the founder of The Light of God Miracle Embassy Church Worldwide, is the prime suspect in the alleged murder.

A source confirmed the victim, whose body was found at dump site, had just graduated from the Kwara State College of Health Technology a few months ago.

“Yes, the lady was invited by the pastor’s son to a hotel in Ilorin. Her dead body was found at a dumpsite. I think it was the hotel staff who dumped her there after the assailants fled,” it said.

“The police were able to apprehend the suspect and his father, who happens to be a pastor. They are currently being held at the police headquarters in Ilorin.”

The news of the arrests has sent shockwaves through the community as the reputation of Pastor Ogunse, who is a well-respected clergymen has been in the state has been besmerked by his son’s alleged murder case.

However, as police is yet to confirm the alleged suspects’ involvement in the crime, many are struggling to come to terms with the idea that  pastor Ogunse’s son could be capable of such a heinous crime.

Kwara State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, is expected to provide more  details of their investigation later.

“I will get back to you,” she told reporters when she was contacted regarding the incident .
