

Bradford Manhunt: Police arrest prime suspect of murder of Young mum pushing pram, West Yorkshire officials
The West Yorkshire police leading a manhunt after the murder of a young mum, Kulsuma Akter, while pushing a baby pram, have arrested a man, 25, as the prime suspect of her murder
The victim, Kulsuma Akter, 27, from Oldham, was stabbed to death on Westgate in Bradford on Saturday about the midday hour of 3:21 pm.
Due to much loss of blood, Kulsuma Akter could not survive the knife’s injuries and died after being rushed to hospital.
A few days after the incident the police launched an investigation that lead to the arrest of a man, 25, on suspension of the death of the young mum.
According to the West Yorkshire Police, confirming on Tuesday morning, he was detained in the Aylesbury area, 170 miles away from where Kulsuma died.
Officials said she was with her young baby at the time he stabbed her, but the baby was not harmed and is safe.
West Yorkshire Police has also referred itself to the Independent Office of Police Conduct for having contact with the dead young mum, Kulsuma Akter, before she was attacked and murdered.
A source also confirmed on Monday that a 23-year-old man has been arrested in Cheshire for allegedly assisting an offender, and he is placed in police custody.
Stacey Atkinson, the Detective Chief Inspector of the West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Enquiry Team, said: “This is a tragic incident in which a mother has lost her life in the most horrific of circumstances.We understand that this has caused a considerable amount of concern in the local community.
“Local Neighbourhood Policing teams are patrolling the area conducting reassurance to the community. We would like to thank Thames Valley Police for their support and assistance in this matter.”
Habibur Masum, 25, was declared wanted over the attack in the Westgate area of Bradford at 15:21 BST on Saturday soon after the 27-year-old mum, Kulsuma Akter, who incurred multiple stab injuries, died in hospital.
