(EPICSTORIAN) — Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Sunday for Riyadh to attend the Arab-Islamic Summit focused on Middle East issues.

The high-level meeting will bring together leaders and representatives from Arab and Islamic nations to discuss key issues currently affecting the Middle East.

According to Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu’s special adviser on information and strategy, the summit offers an opportunity for Nigeria to join the global discourse on fostering peace and stability in the region.

“President Tinubu is committed to engaging with leaders across the Arab and Islamic world in a collective pursuit of sustainable peace and regional stability,” said Onanuga.

Arab-Islamic Summit focussed on addressing Middle East Conflict

The summit’s agenda is expected to address the ongoing conflicts, humanitarian crises, and strategic challenges facing the Middle East.

As Africa’s largest economy and a significant voice in global affairs, Nigeria’s participation underscores its commitment to promoting diplomatic efforts and supporting multilateral solutions.
